Our friend Sanna, known to us as Sniisk, lives in Finland where she works at a university as a teacher and researcher. Art, though, has always been part of her life. “I made my first handmade cards when I was just a child,” she says, “and I haven’t stopped yet. I’m still learning!” While she has made ATCs during the last year and a half, she’s been working on dollhouse and other miniatures for years. Among her cards, teddy bears, black-and-white cards, religious, and vintage themed cards are among her favourites. She has a special love for angel and wing-themed cards of all kinds. She works in collage and mixed media because, she says, “I really can't draw or paint anything!” Sanna says. When once makes cards as lovely as hers, though, who needs to? View her gallery here.

Contests at Atcsforall.com

Monthly ATC Contest: Each month we have a themed ATC contest in which everyone can participate. Directions and information on the contests can be found in the Monthly Contest Forum. ATCs are voted on by the members, and the winner scores a prize packet and goody bag packed to the brim with art-related goods and empherma. Thank you to blueskysunburn for organizing our monthly conests!

Offical Fall Contest: Fall themed ATC Competition! Four times a year we hold our official site contest. We invite you to participate in our Fall-themed ATC competition. We are looking for atcs with fall themes--fall colors, fall leaves, fall holidays, and so forth. This is open media, so all medias (or mixes of medias) are welcome! To participate, each member can submit one (and only one!) fall-themed atc of any media to submissions@atcsforall.com. Submissions must be received by October 20th, 2008.

For more information on this contest, see the main contest thread!

The AFA Book Project

The staff and owners of AFA have decided that we are publishing a book! All site members will get the opportunity to be showcased in an 'eye-candy' book of swaps and themed ATCs. That's right--we are all going to be published artists!!!! Going along with our inclusive nature of the site, each member who submits will have at least one piece show up in our book. Additionally, we will feature a series of swap galleries from the site.

For more information, go to the main project thread.
