Hi Wendy
Your beautiful blocks have arrived!
I will return the unused stamps to you. That's a whole lot of stamps, almost $20 worth.
Wendy
Oh my ... I had no idea those stamps were worth so much! I knew it was probably too much for my returns ... but so much! It's because a lot of them have not written the value upon them. Thanks for returning the stamps you don't need! The next couple of years I can send stamps as return postage when I participate in swaps!
Glad the blocks arrived ... it took a bit longer than 'usual' but good to know they're safe!

The stamps with no written value are called "forever" stamps. They are always worth what the current first class stamp is worth. Right now they are worth .44 cents.
My postal person told me not to use them on International mail, as they need stamps with amounts on them. They are suppose to be use in the US only.
But you can send them to a US host and then they can swap them with valued ones.
A 3 card return from the US to the Netherlands would cost about .98 cents.
That's usually an ounce worth.
If they are heavier (over an ounce) then it would be .17 cents extra, .20 cents more if the envelope is unbendable, for hand canceling.
Now you will know how much to send to US hosts, at least until the postage rates go up again.
