šŸŽƒ Do You Have Leftover Hallo-Weenies? šŸŽƒ

As preparations for the spooky season begin, and the Halloween swaps trickle inā€¦
I have noticed that there are entirely too many misfit Halloweenies from past seasons haunting our galleries. And maybe there are some Leftovers hiding in the cobwebbed corners of your art space too. These spooky beauties deserve some love! So send me those lingering spirits and I will send some new haunts your way. This is a quick turnaround clearance swap. Since these cards are already made, pack them up and get them to me ASAP. If all cards arrive early, I will swap early.

PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILSā€¦

Media Parameters:
(the not-so-fine print)
- Every card submitted for this swap must be an original one-of-a-kind, no copies! Handmade prints, photographic and digital cards or components are welcome. But DO NOT repeat or copy cards that you have swapped/traded in the past or plan on replicating for swaps/trades in the future.
- Keep embellishments flat and lightweight, for safe and economical mailing. Cards that are excessively bulky, heavy or pokey are not eligible for this swap. If received, they will be returned to you at your risk.

Craftsmanship Parameters:
- Cards must be sturdy, and have tidy edges.
- Make sure your adhesive game is on point, cards with loose/unattached bits will not be accepted. Sticky cards will not be accepted.
- Please submit only conscientiously crafted cards, cards that required time and effort to make, cards that you would be excited to receive and display.
- Please double-check the back of your cards to be sure that your labeling meets the current parameters. Labels must include your username, country/state and original creation date - include other info as you wish.

Mailing Parameters:
- Direct Message me (formerly PM/Conversation) for my address when you are ready to mail your cards.
- Please send your cards in a business sized envelope.
- Please protect your cards with some type of sleeve if you have access to them.
- Secure your cards using a tape with a light adhesive, like washi or painterā€™s tape. Do not use Scotch tape!
- All Participants: Please include a self addressed business sized envelope with (US Participants) one US FOREVER stamp or (International Participants) one US Global Forever Stamp or a well hidden US $2.00. *Please include additional postage/cash if you are swapping more than 3 cards.
- Please allow plenty of mailing time! I recommend 2 weeks for US swappers and 4 weeks for International swappers. Late cards will be returned to sender, this is a quick turnaround swap.

Other stuff:
- Please sign up by posting to this thread. If you have read the swap description, please comment with the name of your favorite (or least favorite) Halloween candy and I will sign you up for the swap. Thank you.
- You are welcome to share your cards in this thread and comment on those you like.
- If a variety of media is submitted to the swap, please expect a variety of media in your returns. I will not be swapping like for like in regard to MEDIA.
- An additional host card in the theme of the swap will bring me great joy, but is never required to play. If you opt to include a hostie, please be clear that you have included an extra. As this is a variable quantity swap, your intent will not be obvious based on the number of cards that you submit.
- Before you mail your cards, please review the media, craftsmanship, and mailing parameters.
- When you receive your returns, please remember to submit Feedback (formerly iTrader) for the host (@jezebelle). I welcome comments in either the Feedback comments section or a DM. I use those comments to create better swaps for you.
- Notices of arrival, and thank you notes in the thread are welcome, tho not required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit Cards created just for this swap? This is a quick turnaround swap for Leftover ATCs only.
Can I submit Leftovers that I have reworked? Yes.
What about cards that I started and never finished? If you can complete and send your cards in the allotted timeframe, and still meet the craftsmanship parameters in the swap description, yes.
Can I submit cards that were made by someone else? No, this is not that kind of clearance swap. Any cards that you submit must be created by you.
Can I submit house shaped or other shaped cards? Yes, as long they are on-theme and roughly standard size. If you are not certain that your cards meet the size parameters contact me via Direct Message and we can check them out together.
What if I donā€™t want to receive shaped cards? No problem, you can opt out of non standard ATCs. Let me know in a Direct Message or send a note with your submissions.
Whatā€™s your deal with Scotch tape? It drives me batty! I canā€™t peel it off sleeves and it wrecks ATCs.
Whatā€™s a ā€œbusiness sizedā€ envelope? Standard business envelopes are 4 1/8ā€ x 9 1/2ā€. They are sometimes called No. 10 envelopes. Business envelopes that are slightly smaller (No. 9) or slightly larger (I donā€™t know what they are called, lol) are also fine.
I understand why my return envie should be business sized, but whatā€™s the deal with the one Iā€™m sending to you? I want your art to arrive safely, on time and in swappable condition. Most mail will pass through postal sorting machines at some point on itā€™s way to me. Odd size envelopes can be damaged by postal sorting machines or get kicked to the side for hand sorting, which causes delays. Additionally, the mail that you send to me lands in a PO Box. Large and odd size envies crowd the box and may damage your art or someone elseā€™s.
What if Iā€™m sending just one card? If you are sending only one card, you may use a smaller envelope.
What if I donā€™t have access to ā€œpenny sleevesā€? I am not a stickler for penny sleeves. Please make an effort to protect your cards in any way that you can. If your cards are damaged in the mail because they were unprotected, I will not be able to swap them. Small ziplock type bags or waxed paper are a couple of solutions I have used when necessary.
What if I donā€™t have access to business sized envies/US stamps/US Dollars/etc ? Please contact me via Direct Message, before you mail out your submissions, and we can work it out.
Whatā€™s the deal with the card quantity, itā€™s different than last year? Yes it is. Last year, when folks only had one or two Leftovers, I allowed new cards to be added to create full sets. It caused a little confusion. I am always looking to improve the swaps that I bring to you, so this year Iā€™m trying something different. Send whatever number of leftovers you have (up to three swap cards) and you will receive the same number in return.

Thank you @sheshedoesit, me too. Welcome, and thanks for playing.

You have it correct. But let me ask you a questionā€¦
Check out the next post.

This goes out to anyone/everyone in the thread.

Do you have more more than three Leftovers that you would like to swap?

I could easily up the quantity, and I wouldnā€™t mind. I stopped at 3 for two reasons:
1. 3/4 ATCs usually mail comfortably under an ounce, and thatā€™s affordable for most members.
2. Itā€™s hard to guess how many folks might join a swap, it could be 3 or 31. I like for folks to receive ATCs from a variety of artists in their returns. If the number of players is low and the quantity of cards per player is high, itā€™s not possible to provide the same variety.

So let the people speak.
Would you like me to raise the (optional) card quantity in this swap?
You can reply in the thread or via Direct Message (formerly Conversation).

Thank you @somnia, and welcome to the swap!
Iā€™ll be happy to swap your tricks for treats, or vice versa, lol.
I had to look that one up. It looks a bit like a US Watchamacallit, but coffee flavored. It sounds delicious.

I would like to up the quantity to 6ā€¦but either way is goodā€¦
Your voice has been heard @sheshedoesit. Why donā€™t you hold on to your cards for a couple days.
If a few more folks speak in favor of a higher card limit, or if we reach a participant number of at least 7 by that time, I will increase the quantity options.
