BACKGROUNDS - Bokeh style Due date: June 17

Well, that is harder than it looks! I have some cards finished but put them away for a day or two to give me a chance to stop hating them. In the meantime, how much information should be on the back? These are to be backgrounds, if I do my usual back, there won’t be room for the next artist to put her information on. Would “Background by Betsyg” and a signature be enough?

Betsyg - I normally put my username and the media used on the back of any cards like this. If you are in doubt just put your details on a separate piece of paper and slip it in the sleeve with your card - I know that I like to acknowledge backgrounds that I use that were made by other people.

Hope you like your cards better when you come back to them. 🤞🏻

I have just received my post-holiday hold bundle of mail but I should have finished replying to it by the time your cards arrive. ;)
They look great! Are they the originals that you didn't like (but improved with time)?

They improved with time. I find I like things a lot better if I put them away for a day or so. They are on their way to you.

The Walnut Tree - I think that it should work quite well with oil pastels, especially as the edges are supposed to be blurry, not sharp. Enjoy playing. . .
I have been playing with blending oil pastels while making samples for my new technique swap - "Backgrounds - OMBRE" (link in my signature)

Tillygo and TheFFG - your gorgeous cards were the last 2 envelopes in my pile of mail

The cards that I have received so far are beautiful - you will all be very happy with your returns from this swap, I think.
