"Medieval Mother and Child is typical of having the baby look like a grown man but tiny. Neither Mom or Baby are pretty. The church has probably had additions as some of the windows are rectangular and others are arched as became popular in Romanesque times. The Crusaders went out working for their king hoping to bring converts into Christianity.

Love the ones with crusaders, and the church between woods reminds me ones I saw in Tuscany!
And... Yay! Mother and Child are incredibly true! Since I was a child I was fascinated by that detail of Child painted like a little adult!
