DO’s: Well-made cards of Any Media/Medium. I love creative cards, humor/irony. Tasteful nudity/suggestive is perfectly fine. Postage stamps are also very loved, but NOT required by any means. Historically accurate pictures/News are very welcome (especially for the Prohibition themed deck).
DON’T’S: Please, do not use a ton of pink. I really despise the color. Small hints are fine…but no all-pink cards. Nothing cutesy, tons of flowers, or copious amounts of or focal point stickers.

You needn’t worry if the woman of your postage stamp is famous enough. It’s enough that a postage stamp has been made of her/with her name on it! If you don’t think she´s known outside your country, it´s nice (but not obligatory) to include in the card title her profession or what she was famous for. (like this: Frida Kahlo, painter, Mexico).

(More about the stamps: It does not matter if the stamp is used or not; it’s cool for the canceling stamp to show but if you have the choice, it’s nicest to pick one where it hasn’t totally smeared the image. I would love the stamp to be intact, ie. not cut with scissors so that the borders are partly left out. If you have the opportunity, the stamps are easy to take loose from the envies by soaking them a little while in the water. This does not work with all the recent stamps, though, for example the globe shaped U.S. forever stamps have a sticky background that is harder to work with. Never mind if this happens!)

DETAILS: I would like to collect unusually shaped APCs and suits in foreign languages. The Bridge size and European poker size (a few mm smaller than 2.5" by 3.5") are good for this deck and I have seen cards in unique shapes like hearts, ovals, circles, snowmen, gnomes, or in miniature. Suits might be a bit open, as some non standard cards don't have standard suits either or are indicated in another language. I'll be flexible about suits but would like to stick to 4 of each number.
DO's: Use a non-poker sized card/unusually shaped card/card with suits in another language as a base and leave at least the top left suit and number visible. The theme of the card is open, but ideally I would like it to be inspired by the card itself (ie, if the card is heart shaped do a heart theme) or for it to relate to one of the interests on my profile.
DONT's: No cards larger than 4" by 6" and no smaller than 1" by 2." Please don't cover the whole back of the card, just cover a little with your artist information and leave the rest visible. I don't eat meat, so please nothing to do with bacon, unless it's a bacon shaped playing card hahaha.

Deck 5:
THEME: Women on Postage Stamps
NEEDED: Always collecting Queens of any suit!
DO's: Use a 2.5" by 3.5" card and have at least the top left suit and number visible. Include at least one postage stamp of a woman, girl, or female group. I would love to diversify my deck with more "women of colour." Postage stamp ideas: a famous woman, a head of state, a fictional/mythical woman or girl, an athlete, a random woman on a stamp (like an unnamed woman working, doing art, an activity, sport, etc), a woman or girls group (like Girl Guides, YWCA, sports team, etc), symbol (like Venus symbol, breast cancer pink ribbon, etc), a woman in cultural, traditional or historical clothing, stamps promoting breast feeding or women's health, or a woman portrayed in art work. Nudes are welcome. Trans women are welcome (but I don't know if any are featured on postage stamps, yet). Please keep the cards positive.
DONT's: No more cards with Janis Joplin (3), Maya Angelou (4), Man Ray's muse Kiki (2), Rosa Parks (2), Bessie Coleman (2) or Gibson Girl (2)-I love them, but I already have multiple APCs and ATCs with them. No angels or fairies, please.

Do's: Vintage, historical, antique colors and design, pre-WWII only, please. I love the Victorian Era, so photos are great from that time period. Collage only! I prefer there to be a central image, like a photo, then mixed-media & collage for the background and around the image. Embellishments are fine. Vintage colors or pastels are preferred. I especially love the sienna colors. My favorite colors are blues and greens...all shades. I also love red or pink in vintage style artwork. Artful, tasteful nudes are fine, as portrayed in classical art. Art from Victorian Trade cards is perfect! Religious themes are fine (any), as long as it is historical in reference.

Don'ts: No abstract, modern art designs. No bright, rainbow, or neon colors. No modern cartoon type designs. Nothing gross, vulgar, or uncouth. No art that is designed to "shock" the viewer. No fundamentalist type religious themes. Please ask if you aren't sure. Please no black and white...color in a image, if you need to. Thanks!

I'm not keeping track of numbers and suits anymore. I will just trade for what strikes my fancy. But my favorite APC themes are Collage with a Cancelled Postage Stamp, collage of sewing theme, nature, outer space, HD/HP.

I'm just getting started with making and collecting APCs, so here's my wishlist: (Red text means a trade is pending.)


1: THEME: Hearts with a Pick-me-up or inspirational word or message. (if you search for "52 Card Pick-up Altered Playing Card" on google or Pinterest, you'll see what I mean).

3. DETAILS: I love the cards people have been making for the 52 Card Pick-up challenge, and would like to build my own collection. My plan is to make an APC book of feel-good, pick-me-up messages once I collect enough of them. Embellishments are okay!

DO'S: The card should have a heart (but it's not necessary) and a short or longish quote as the main focus. Mixed media, art journalish, collage and/or painted backgrounds/focus is perfect. The messages can be stamped, torn from book pages/magazine, Dynamo'd or HD/HP. They can be quotes from a favorite author/personality, words of wisdom your mother or father gave you - all is welcome. Cards can look messy, grungy, vintage, shabby chic - I don't mind, have fun with it! The Suit/Number in the upper left corner should be visible, but it's okay if its peeking through paints/inks/thin paper.

DON'TS: I prefer not to receive religious scripture. Also, I'd like to receive something beyond the single word cliché "Believe", "Hope", "Dream" statements that are so popular, but I won't turn it away. I'd just like to avoid collecting a deck that says the same thing....but if the rest of the card is interesting, then I absolutely won't turn one down.

Put wings or crowns on people (vintage or not), animals (ever see a winged/crowned giraffe?) or things (how about a tea cup flying through the air?) I just love wings and crowns...anyone want to help me out? Embellishments are okay!

DOs: Be creative! If it has wings or a crown, I already love it! Drawn, collaged, mixed media - I don't care, as long as there's wings!

I have been thinking about collecting some APC decks of my own, so I'd definitely like to get in on this!!

Some Notes/Details:
Any and all media I accept on the cards I receive. Even stickers. But don't let that be the only thing on the card! The top left part of the APC needs to be showing (number and suit) or you can leave 1/3 inch or so on the entire left side undecorated. Bridge or poker cards are both fine by me. As I want the whole entire deck, I would also like the jokers to be included for each APC set. That way, I can evenly fill all 6 pocket pages for each deck. Please include on the back, information on what deck each card is for, along with your name, the date, etc.

Deck 1:
Theme: Fantasy
Cards Needed: All including the jokers
Do's: Any kind of fantasy genre will work (sword and sorcery, contemporary, dark fantasy/gothic, high fantasy, etc.) Again, all styles/techniques welcome. The art can be inspired by folklore, popular media or made-up by you. As long as it has to do with fantasy/myth.
Don'ts: Can't really think of any don'ts here.

Deck 2:
Theme: Outer Space
Cards Needed: All, including the jokers
Do's: Anything to do with space is welcome, any media. Feel free to go wild with making up your own alien worlds/landscapes. Stick to the theme!

Theme: Forgotten Realms (D&D campaign setting)
Cards Needed: All, including the jokers
Do's: Anything to do with Forgotten Realms, deities, places, historic events like the Time of Troubles or the Spell Plague, races, classes/professions, monsters, magic, planes of existence, etc. All you RPGers and gamers may or may not be familiar with this fantasy setting. If not, and even if you are, a great site is the Forgotten Realms Wiki which has a plethora of info about everything FR related. I would especially love cards on the Fugue Plane, the race of Avariel, Mystra the goddess of magic, and gold dragons, etc. Any media and materials.
Don'ts: Do not make generic D&D cards or based on other campaigns, only focus on the Forgotten Realms setting.

Deck 7:
Theme: Keys
Cards Needed: All including the jokers
Do's: shiny or rusty, new or old, plain or elaborate, one or more, etc. All keys will fit.
Don'ts: None

Location: USA-will trade internationally too
Comments: A lot of topics to choose from to make cards, so I hope this gives people enough options to pick from. I am just starting these decks so please PM me on what card number/suit you are making so I can cross it off the list! I am willing to trade with anyone, just ask!

The 50 States of the USA + DC
I plan to make the Ace of Hearts myself as a title card.
All other States will be in alphabetical order for example :

Ace of Diamonds - Alaska
Ace of Clubs - Arizona
... and so on !
The card could feature any icon, symbol or scenery from the state that the artist fancies but should please include the State name in some form.
I would love APCS made by people who live in the State but that would just be an extra bonus and not possible for all States anyway I realise.
I have made a few of these for other members for their sets and I live in the UK - so residence in the US is not at all necessary obviously.
All cards needed except Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Wyoming.

I do like all the cards to be the normal American Poker cards.
Any style is acceptable plus any embellishments but not stickers please.
