I have been on such a "Cat Crusade" making ATCs for this swap,
I did not realize this card turned out to be too large for ATC standards until it was completed. :ambivalence:
Started okay, but positioning the top cat on the stove top, so one could see the stove interior, make the top cat's tail an additional l/2 inch higher
Stove was taller than I thought, and even cutting off the thermometer top section did NOT reduce the height enough.
Stove also too wide, and trimming both sides made it look weird with half burners and single stove knobs. instead of two per side.

So, it is NOT for the swap, but it turned out so well, I am sharing it anyway!:love:

another great card VickiZ - what is its finished size?
Antjen - cats don't need to be super colourful to work their way into our hearts, love the sayings you included. I will tell you when they arrive

Sorry but I have to withdraw. I put together some cat things but just could not find inspiration. I guess I am now a complete dog person.

Swap Due Date - July 18
postage for non-Australians - June 20
I live in Australia - mail will NOT reach me quickly! I suggest you allow at least 4 weeks.
Number of Cards - 3:3 or 6:6
Number of participants - unlimited
Medium - anything EXCEPT hand-drawn or hand-painted

I am very envious of those who can take a pencil or paintbrush and create something recognisable - I most definitely cannot! This swap is for all those people, like me, who find different ways to make a design.
Some of the ways that you can create your cats are: stencils, die cuts, rubber stamps, note cards/scrapbooking paper, washi tape, tissue paper, postage stamps, retiform, iris folding, punches, embossing folders, emboss resist or anything else that you choose.

International players: please include a well-hidden US $2 OR a Global Forever stamp

ALL players please include a LARGE address label (at least 2" x2"). I will provide envelopes.

1) do your best work - I plan to swap effort-for-effort as much as I can
2) clearly write your USERNAME and the SWAP NAME on the back of all your cards (so you can get fun Rep comments) and on the back of your mailing envelope. I am running a few swaps and do not want to put you with the wrong returns.
3) please mail early to allow time to reach Australia
4) an extra card for the swap Host is greatly appreciated but is not required
5) I will give feedback when I receive your cards and update this post. In return, I encourage you to give Host feedback when you receive your returns, and Rep comments to the artists whose cards you receive. After all, knowing where your cards went is half the fun, I think.

These cards are my WIP I have some cat stamps that I’m trying to use, but I don’t wanna make them be too plain so I will be adding stuff to these just hoping to find some inspiration.

Hand carved Linocut cards ready to mail. All are based on cats at a shelter near me. Should get them out no later than Monday.
LOVE your cards!

The top right card, which, I think is the same image as your hand carved stamp off to the right (under the chisel) is my fave,
although, they are all
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!

I really need to learn how to carve Linocut stamps!!!
Thank you for the inspiration.

EmsArt - those cards are amazing! Do you volunteer at the shelter? I will tell you when your cards arrive
janae - I agree, it would be wonderful if there was no need for shelters - either dog or cat

Where I live a lot of the dogs and cats and everything come from the reservation I live about 40 minutes from the Pine Ridge reservation and the dogs and cats run wild there and that’s actually where I got my lover boy he’s an Australian Shepherd pitty mix. They get a bad rap. That’s all how you raise them. My boy loves to snuggle and cuddle and lick you to death. And he’s also the funniest thing ever. I’ve never had a dog that takes his bone and just puts it on top of his paws.

My mom begged me to let her name him so she named him. SOHO after Soho, New York the artists street over there because she knows that’s been on my bucket list forever I want to visit there so badly my little granddaughter calls him SOSO
