October 2025 Prompts:
  1. The colors Light Purple and Aqua (both colors should be on each card)
  2. A square (at least one square on each card)
  3. A flower (at least one flower should be on each card

***All 3 prompts should be on all of your cards. All of your cards should display all 3 prompts. You may add whatever else you want, but must include all 3 prompts. ***

The subject matter is up to you :-)
*No religious or political ATCs. Please and thank you.

Requirements/Guidelines:
  • 3 different ATCs, MADE WITH LOVE by you. (can be very similar to each other) Please make sure to send cards that you would be happy to receive. Art is very subjective, but your cards should not look like a child has made them.
  • You must sign up by leaving a comment here in this thread telling me that you would like to sign up. Please do not ask to sign up through a private message. Thank you.
    Each ATC should be in their own plastic sleeve. If you do not have plastic sleeves or are unsure about what type of plastic sleeves are appropriate please send me a private message. We will work it out :-)
  • On the back of your ATCs neatly print : Your real name, USER NAME, swap name, your location, date you made the card. (and any other info you wish to include)
  • Please, no plain white backgrounds.
  • No childrens stickers, and let's try to limit the amount of stickers we use.
  • NO BULKY OR HEAVY EMBELLISHMENTS, THIS INCLUDES METAL. NO METAL. ATCs with bulky/heavy embellishments or metal just do not mail well. They usually arrive damaged and/or the envelope it came in is damaged. Sometimes it's ripped so much that the cards are almost falling out. So please, NO BULKY EMBELLISHMENTS. Bulky is anything thicker than a coin. This helps everyone, including the postal workers. Thank you for reading this.
  • 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" firm card, not flimsy paper. At least as thick as a baseball card.
  • ATCs only, no APCs
  • A host card is always very much appreciated, but never required.
Mailing/Postage
***PLEASE MAIL YOUR CARDS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE MAIL IS RIDICULOUSLY SLOW to saw the least… Be prepared for your ATCs to arrive a bit later than expected. If mailing internationally, mail at your own risk. I am sorry.
And please put tape on your envelope. A lot of mail has been getting to me torn up. Please protect your artwork by using tape.

I WILL PROVIDE RETURN ENVELOPES FOR EVERYONE, PLEASE DO NOT SEND AN ENVELOPE.
*Please include a LARGE, neatly printed label of your address
*PM me for my address. If you have my "807" address, it is still correct.
*Remember, clearly labeled envelopes arrive faster than embellished envelopes.
U.S Players: Please send one or two forever stamps.
International Players: Please send one global forever stamp, or a well concealed $1 bill (USD) If you do not have access to either of these, please PM me. We will work it out :-)

I would like to play please! I understand that I’m signing up at my own risk….hopefully this postal problem will be sorted soon! And I’ve read all the other guidelines 😊
 
Sorry if it’s not okay to ask this here, and I can edit it to remove it, but can someone clarify why international atc mailing is worse with the tariffs? I don’t fully understand it all, but i thought it affected business mail?

I do not know any details about exactly how the tariffs are affecting ATCs, but i do know that several countries are refusing to send certain things to USA right now. And every article I read about it contradicts each other. I posted my statement on this post as a general disclaimer. I do not fully understand what is going on with the mail system, but its really irregular, and really frustrating for us mail artists :-)
 
In Australia - Australia Post has stopped sending ANYTHING, other than thin letters, to the US as they have no idea what will be tariffed next and at what cost. This also affects those countries that use Australia to pass on/forward mail like the Philippines.
Having said that, and accepting the risks that this stoppage may go further, can I please sign up? I love these prompts!

I don't know the answer to your question. But I was thinking you could take an envelope with art cards in it to the post office and ask them what it would cost.
I have repackaged items going to Canada to get cheaper postage.
Please post to the thread if you get an answer.

There has been no change for me so far in sending things from Canada post, which is part of why I asked to see what I was missing. I always worry about it showing up with a surprise problem because they are still sending fine. It is definitely a bit of a nail biter having no idea from one day to the next what the rules are or who they apply to, but fingers crossed that little letter sized sendings will stay okay!

Edit: was told today that if it was ‘more than paper’ there is a form, tariff and a 10$ processing surcharge. Still not sure what a tariff on a free item would be, or what ‘more than paper’ means (cardboard? Embellishments? Resin? Also, if I drop it in the mailbox packed like regular atcs in a regular envelope how do they know? Will they flag paper ones they suspect of being not paper?
