SPLENDID SPRING BLOSSOMS AND BUDS

Spring is such a beautiful time, when nature bursts back to life!

For this swap, we are celebrating natures rebirth! Your cards should feature beautiful Spring flower blooms, or trees blooming in Springtime. You can include any other subjects, as long as the blooms and buds are the main focus on the cards. All media is welcome, and any style— abstract, hd/hp, collage……. but please, if you plan to use stickers, make sure they are just for small accents.

Embellishments are fine, but please be mindful of the extra postage costs for heavier additions to your cards. Thicker envelopes tend to get damaged by the mail sorting machines more frequently. Let your creative juices flow, add layers, textures........wherever your muse takes you. No plain white backgrounds. Please submit your best work, something that you would be happy to add to your own collection. Host cards are not required to play, but if you chose to send one, I will cherish it!

Cards are to be standard ATC size, 3 1/2 X 2 1/2. The cards should be straight and sturdy, and in individual plastic sleeves. Please include swap name, user name, your real name, date and location on the back of all cards.

US participants: Please send a large address label and a forever stamp. If your cards are heavy and or bulky, remember to include extra postage. I will provide all envelopes!!

International participants: Please send large address label and a well concealed US dollar bill, US stamps are fine too. I will supply envelopes! Any questions? PM me.

When your cards are ready to mail, send me a pm for my address. If you have my address from a previous swap, it has not changed.

Please try to mail your cards early!! The postal service is taking longer and longer to deliver these days.
I like to be prompt in sending out your returns!

Once you receive your returns, it would be wonderful if you would post here on the swap thread, so we all know that you have received your cards!

I would like to join. Here are my cards. I chose to picture spring wildflowers of the Smoky Mountains.

Large-Flowered Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum)
This is the most abundant of the Trilliums found in the Great Smokies. It appears in April and May.

Hairy Buttercup (Ranunculus hispidus)
Found in the Smoky Mountains from late March to the end of April.

Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis)
Common in the Smokies in April and early May. The hummingbird is a preferred pollinator.

Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica)
Abundant in the Smokey Mountains. It is one of the earliest wildflowers to bloom usually from late February through May
