The Haunted Village: Twinchies! - A House-Shaped Swap - Due October 31, 2023

My twinchies are complete...4 to swap and a host haunt!
They are 3" high with the witches hat roofs...and were SO much fun to make!

mrubyjean your muse was felling witchy!
Your rooftops are inspired and your houses are full of layers of magic.
Thank you so much for sharing your art in the thread.
And thank you for brewing up an extra Twinchie haunt for me!

Excellent, I will add you now theweavershand. Thank you for joining!

I love the colors and textures of your walls, did you create them with gelli printing? And that double rooftop that implies ears is so creative and clever. Thanks for sharing your art with the group.

Thank you! yes! I havent made gelli prints in a while but I saw a video that made me want to pull it out and try some layering on it.

More great textures on your haunted Twinchies leydab.
Do I spy creepy dolls? I love creepy dolls!

Village Haunts are beginning to arrive and this old song bears repeating as I am meeting some of you here for the first time.
I want to advise you all not to worry if you feel that your cards are taking longer to get to me than you expect. I live in a very small (maybe 500 folks?) and rural community. The USPS doesn’t even offer mail service to my house, so I have to “go to town” to get the mail. I don’t always do that on a daily basis. I will update the thread with each mail call that brings swap cards. In the mean time, do not be concerned.

Every swap is a learning experience, and this is what I’m learning now. I thought keeping each neighborhood as a separate swap would make things easier organizationally. But I am finding it necessary to repeat my myself in each thread. It’s extra work and it clutters up the Activity Stream. Sigh. Lesson learned. If we build another village together, I will combine neighborhoods into a single swap with multiple categories.

If you post your haunted house-shaped creations in the gallery, and I hope you do, we can watch our village grow. Be sure to choose “Mail Art: Traded and for Swaps” as your category and include the words “Haunted Village” in your title. Then, whenever you want to see how the village construction is progressing, use the gallery search functions for keywords and categories.

I couldn't resist making houses with doors and windows for my first few Twinchies - that size just asks for this fun treatment. I also thought that if these houses were haunted they would be falling apart so I tore bits out of most of their walls and roofs.
My scanner refused to show the roof edges until the very last house.
These will be in the mail tomorrow

Ah, Lazyshadows, you made them colorful and spooky. Well played!

The mail came too late last night. I checked at 4:30 and my twinchie envelope was still there. So they will go out on Tuesday, along with the envelope for the inches.
