The Mail Art PAT/Pick A Theme/Projects/Due date: Nov 22

PAT Guidelines/Rules:
1. In order to participate in this PAT, you must:
• Have an established iTrader rating of +15.
• Have received no negatives within the past 6 months.
• Have received no neutrals within the past 3 months.
2. Themes must be chosen within 48 hours of joining the swap.
3. You may only join up to 2 groups.
4. Each Project must be the standard Project size. Inchies 1 x 1, Twinchies 2 x 2, Moos 1 x 2 3/4, Chunky Pages 4 x 4, Coins 2 1/2 diameter, Decorated Envelope 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 & up, Tags #5 4 3/4 x 2 3/8 & up.
5. Each Project must be original and unique.
6. You must follow the themes requested by your group participants EXACTLY. Theme is the main focus of a PAT, so no deviations from theme requests are allowed. No switching allowed.
7. Embellishments must be relatively flat and lightweight; no bulky embellishments.
8. Projects must have a sturdy background. You must have 2 layers!
9. Each Project must be in an individual plastic sleeve.
10. Each Project should be labeled with the swap name, your username, your real name, date of creation, your location, group number, and recipient name.

Mailing Guidelines:
1. Please mail Projects in an appropriate sized envelope. If you are sending chunky pages; let me know if you want me to send your returns in the same envelope as you sent them in. Otherwise, include another envelope for your returns. On the back of your envelope please put down the swap name, your user name & the Group(s) you are signed up for.
2. Please protect your Projects from damage in the mail by including a cardstock background or folder.
3. If you tape your Projects onto a sturdy background when mailing, please use an easy-release tape such as painter’s tape or washi tape. I don’t want anyone’s beautiful artwork to be damaged by tape.
4. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for your return Projects. Chunky page makers refer to #1.
5. Please make sure to use the correct amount of postage to send your Projects. Anything sent to me with postage due will be returned to the sender.
6. If you are mailing internationally, please provide the following for your returns:
a. A large label with your name/address clearly written on it for returns.
b. Enough postage or $$$ to get your returns sent back to you. I am also set up for Pay Pal in case you don't have any $$$. PM me for that info.

Make Note:
I AM AN ON-TIME HOST!!! I WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOUR ATCs! THEY NEED TO BE TO ME EITHER ON OR BEFORE November 22nd. Late Projects--regardless of the reason (health, personal tragedy, job demands, etc.)--will result in a neutral iTrader from me and possibly each of the other participants in your group(s). No Prjocets at all will result in a negative iTrader not only from me, the host, but also from your fellow artists in your group(s). When you are ready to mail your Projects, please just private message me for my address. iTraders will be given when Projects are received by me and appropriate theme material is verified. * If all Projects in your group(s) have arrived to me before the due date then I will mail them out earlier. *

*A host Project would make me tickled pink but is never required.
*After you have received your Projects, please make sure to leave an iTrader for your host (me) and for each participant in your group(s).

Alright, Robin, you are number 1! You know, I didn't think that out very well. Let's say two inchies & two twinchies. I'll get you down...

Two Inchies for each person in Group 1? I definitely have time for that.
If I am understanding that correctly, please sign me up! Theme TBA.

I have two more questions…
Is Group 1 open media?
Does rule #10 (Each Project should be labeled with the swap name, your username, your real name, date of creation, your location, group number, and recipient name.) apply to Inchies? That’s a lot of info for a 1”x1” space.

Hi jezebelle. Yes two inchies to each partner. Yes, Group 1 is open media. Actually, they are all open media. I agree; that is a lot to write on one little piece of paper. We'll waive that rule for inchies & twinchies, I think. At least add a note to sets of inchies for your partners.

Thanks for the invite ferretgirl :)! I feel very tempted to join the tags-group, but am just thinking if mailing them will become too expensive… But will lurk for a while and think about it. What do you think; how many forever-stamps would it need to mail the returns to Finland? And is Tim Holtz too specific for a theme?

Thank you for the invite. I am considering the decorated envelopes group. Do I get to choose the size of envelope according to the dimensions specified in the guidelines for each player in the group, or does the player get to choose the size of envelope they want?

Hi Pikkis, I am going to private message you...

Hi Essy, Yes, you will get to choose what size envelope you'd like within the parameters of the swap instructions. Great question...

I finally meet the requirements for one of these swaps, so I’d like to give this one a try.

Could I be added to Group 5/Coins with the theme of “Floral” please?

Hi ferretgirl, great! Sign me up for group 6 Decorated Envelopes please. Theme-artist choice based on my profile. Thank you!

I apologize, I hadn’t realized my 48 hours drew near. My theme is eyes.
