Welcome to the Snowy Swap!
Returns Sent: February 5, 2024

This swap is to celebrate snow, in any way to you want to show it! Snow people, snow scenes, animals in snow, snowy trees, winter wonderlands or just the beauty of snow flakes! We had our first snow on November 1st, early for where I live. It melted right away but made me excited for the lovely snows of winter. You are encouraged to interpret the theme any way you want and you are welcome to create in any media you wish.

Swap Requirements ~
* All cards should be standard 3.5” x 2.5”
* This swap is 3 for 3 only. An extra card for the host is welcome, but completely optional.
* Cards must be original. Send work into which you put time, imagination and care.
* Please use only small, light embellishments.
* Please protect your cards with plastic sleeves.

Mailing Information ~
* Include username, real name, your state/country and the swap name on the back of all cards - and put username and swap name on all envelopes sent.
* US Participants – Please include a clearly written SASE or an address label with postage
* International Participants - Please send a clearly-addressed envelope or mailing label and I will cover postage.

Please PM me for my address when you are ready to mail your cards. Please post in this thread when you are sending your cards out, that way I can keep track of the cards when they were mailed. Any late cards will be returned.

When you receive your returns, please leave I-Trader for your swap host and thank yous for the artists of the cards you receive. People like to know where their little artworks find home.

Who would like to play in the snow?

You beat me to the punch @mrubyjean!
(What kind of saying is that anyhow? 🤔)

Snow is my favorite weather!
I shall lurk with strong intent.

Please add me. I love painting snowy scenery. Even though I try not to sign up until my cards are done, I know this is one swap I won't be stuck with "painters' block".

Welcome jo.on.the.go!

Great to have you lurking, jezebelle, fellow snow lover!
‘Beat one to the punch’ is an early twentieth century boxing reference.

I just wanted to share some sad news I heard today. I was at Physical Therapy today and my therapist, who has lived her entire 27 years here in Kitsap County, has never experienced a white Christmas. She said we usually don't get any snow here until February! NOOO! I don't understand since I used to live just over an hour away, in Sequim (Clallam County) and I got to experience a white Christmas 3 times in the 12 years we were there. I'm quite unhappy to hear that I may never have another white Christmas! If it weren't for the healthcare, I'd be moving us back to Sequim in a heartbeat. ❄️☃️❄️

Oh dear, Ancient Planter...perhaps it has to do with being more protected near Puget Sound instead of out by the ocean. In any case, I hope she is wrong. There has been more snow recently in the Seattle area. Here's hoping you have some quirky early snow.

Im in BC but our favourite Mexican restaurant is in Sequim. Dont know the name but its tucked away in a sort of strip mall, right on the highway. There is an indian restaurant next door.

I've been trying to think of which restaurant it could possibly be, but I can't think of any. I don't remember any Indian restaurants; there used to be 3 Mexican restaurants that I can think of, but our favorite (which was in the old granary) went out of business when the parents wanted to retire and their kids didn't want to take over (Azteca, I think it was). Then the one across the street burned down in a grease fire, but they came back in the granary building. They weren't very good. When we were last there, a few months ago, that one has moved into a small building by Costco. The third one, Las Palomas, we never tried, but it had bad reviews. And none of these were in a strip mall. Let me know if you think of the name of the restaurant! Where in BC are you? We go over to Victoria whenever we can, and my brother-in-law and his family used to live on Gabriola, but they've now retired to Arizona.
