Where I'm From ~ Open Media ~ Due July 12 (Mail by June 12)

I was born in Michigan and spent my childhood there. Michigan holds all my most cherished family memories.

Pasties-these are a Michigan staple. They come from the upper peninsula. The miners would eat them at their lunch time. My grandma taught me how to make them.

Bronners-this store is located in Frankenmuth Michigan. It is the Worlds Largest Christmas store. Open 361 days of the year. We would take a family trip there every year and have a feast at the Bavarian restaurant.

Motown-Detroit is know for Motown music. I grew up listening to it with my parents and grandparents.

Mitten State- Michigan is know as the mitten state for obvious reasons. To this day I hold up my hand and point to different cities. That was how we were taught in school. It's always a great laugh with new people.

Great cards and I love to hear the background! I knew about Motown - that has reached even us in Sweden. The other things were new to me 😊 The hand thing is smart, very pedagogic!

gave my cards to mail team today :)

Chimarrao - typical herbal drink in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, part of gaucho traditions..

The sunset building is Usina do Gasometro - is a former electrical power station, now a cultural center, and locals go there to watch the sunset, specially on the weekends

And the curved shape building is an government building that recently RedBull adapted for a professional skater to go down (fullfilling the dream of every one in the city)

not this time. regular mail from US (where my ship is.. and I JUST realized now that I should have sent from Barcelona.. Im going there for a few days next week)
I would've asked for the tracking details otherwise, because it's happened to me before that someone sent a tracked letter and I never got a notification from the Swedish post that it was ready for pickup so it went back to sender...

Mail from US works fine. Usually takes maybe a week longer than from southern Europe so I don't think it would've made a difference. Looking forward to see your art!
