Trying to think of more to say than just ATC swap for Oh The Horror Swap itrader

Hey Ann,

I'm sure your post on Facebook about the itraders was in no way directed at me since I'm pretty sure I ramble on far more than anyone else on the entire site when it comes to itraders. That being said, I could not stop myself from poking some fun in the comment line.

This swap was more challenging than I had expected. It may have been my approach or the fact that I have been away from the swapping for a while or any number of other factors that are messing with my head right now. My cards morphed several times from my original plan. In the end I was happy with my cards. Not thrilled, but happy with them. My returns on the other hand are absolutely amazing. Your generosity is so abundant. I know those returns were leaps and bounds above the work I submitted. I especially love the Betty Davis card. I know it was coveted by several in the thread. I hope you sent it to me because you remember my love of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, but even if it was dumb luck that I ended up with that card I'm still thrilled to add it to my collection, and anytime I get to add Nanner's work to my stash I'm a happy lumberjack!

I want to also thank you for the comment about getting over my feeling that a host card is required. I feel bad not sending a host card, but I'm trying to get more comfortable with postage or other gifties instead of an actual card as a host thank-you, and hey, at least I didn't gather up my scrap papers and send them as a host gift.

Lastly, I want to say how refreshing it is to be in a swap where the hostess is an active participant in the thread. Every day I opened the AFA threads and found comments in your thread and responses from you. You really are an excellent host who is in touch with her participants and makes them feel welcome in the thread. I try to model my own hosting after your fantastic example. I'm happy to have been a part of this swap and happy to call you my friend. Thanks for hosting!

LOL! No, that update certainly wasn't directed at you. You may have noticed I have an iTrader that simply says "HORROR" (in all caps), and another that says "Oh the Horror Swap." Those two came right in a row from MikesATCs and BryaAmirault, prompting me to a state of general WTF-i-tude.

Yay! Of course I gave you the djl1050 card because of your love for *Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?*, you goof! I am glad you love it - and likewise the Nanner card. I hoped you would be happy with them! I thought your cards were quite clever in concept and very well done in execution, by the way. So there!

You may not realized how much you are missed by the community over here, but you really are. You mean a lot to a lot of people. I hope that as you become more comfortable with the idea of sending postage instead of a host card, you might be able to ease back in, even if only to participate in a swap here or a swap there. Everyone would be thrilled to have you!
