I really get a lot of pleasure out of drawing places I have been. And when I look up pictures as a reference for places I haven't been, it gets me dreaming of going there too. My recent trip to the Azores was a lot of fun. It wasn't filled with the fantastic WOW factors that some of my other trips had, but the food and wine were great, I liked all of the people on the tour, the guide was so knowledgeable, and the scenery was beautiful. The only disappointment was that the day we were supposed to see the lakes at the bottom of the most iconic crater, it was raining so hard we couldn't see five feet in front of us.
