Merry-ish is simply funny, do you have the notion of an 'ugly sweater' thing for Christmas there? It is a thing for the younger set with Christmas parties where they wear crazy Christmas sweaters.
Your theme of red kitties combines your preference for reds and my love of kitties. I may be less obsessed once I get a cat of my own.

For my b/w tangles I normally use 0.1, 0.2 and 0.05 fineliners with 0.8 for outlines, for the different colours our Officeworks sells Staedtler triplus fineliners - they seem to be about 0.2 or 0.3 tips.
For the last couple of years our local shopping centre has actually had an 'Ugly sweater' photo stand (like family photos with Santa). You have the choice of bringing your own sweaters or wearing a set that they have available - this is a little bit harder to do in Australia as it is normally stinking hot and you are putting sweaters on (?) It still seems to be popular, though.
