Swap Due Date - June 18
postage for non-Australians - May 21
I live in Australia - mail will NOT reach me quickly! I suggest you allow at least 4 weeks.
Number of Cards - 3:3 or 6:6
Number of participants - unlimited
Medium - anything EXCEPT hand-drawn or hand-painted

I am very envious of those who can take a pencil or paintbrush and create something recognisable - I most definitely cannot! This swap is for all those people, like me, who find different ways to make a design.
Some of the ways you can create your butterflies are: tissue paper, die cuts (see example 1), washi tape, punches (example 2), notecards/scrapbooking paper, postage stamps (example 3), paste and/or stencils (example 4), retiform, rubber stamp (example 5), embossing folder (example 6), emboss resist (example 7), iris folding (example 8) or anything else that you choose.

I am hoping that I can interest people in a series of these swaps with a range of different topics - like dogs, flowers, birds, cats, etc.

Post to the thread to sign up or you can't get fun Rep comments.

PM me for my address when you are ready to mail - if you have an address in Robina I am still here. I am an on-time Host so please take note of the suggested mail date at the top of the thread.

Postage
Australian players
: please include a $1.70 stamp
International players: please include a well-hidden US $2 OR a Global Forever stamp

ALL players please include a LARGE address label (at least 2" x2"). I will provide envelopes.

1) do your best work - I plan to swap effort-for-effort as much as I can
2) clearly write your USERNAME and the SWAP NAME on the back of all your cards (so you can get fun Rep comments) and on the back of your mailing envelope. I am running a few swaps and do not want to put you with the wrong returns.
3) please mail early to allow time to reach Australia
4) an extra card for the swap Host is greatly appreciated but is not required
5) I will give feedback when I receive your cards and update this post. In return, I encourage you to give Host feedback when you receive your returns, and Rep comments to the artists whose cards you receive. After all, knowing where your cards went is half the fun, I think.

Sign me up!
Does putting paint dots on a card then smushing that card onto another card count as hd/hp?

I’d love to swap!

KerensaC - lurkers are always welcome but beware the lumpy lurkers' couch, its springs are highly unreliable
CallunaCreative - love your cards and I will tell you when they arrive
welcome to stacy, LuK and StickyFingersCollages - this sounds right up your alley StickyFingersCollages

stacy - HD/HP would be if you drew the whole butterfly, what you are suggesting is just mixed media. I look forward to what you create with it - if you are in doubt either show the card in the thread or send a PM to me

Would colouring in stamps count as hand drawn? I originally thought no, because the butterfly is stamped, but then thought I should check.

Also, I would like to sign up please.

I ended up figuring out a way to do it with making a background and subject mask out of clear sticky to stamp the colours instead, which ended up looking better anyways! A rare not hand carved stamp - I do have some carved butterflies but they aren’t as nice.
