Signup/Withdraw Date: August13, 2026

When I got sick, Mom gave me chicken noodle soup in my Black Cat Coffee Cup (with lid to keep it warm)

When I brought home a good report card, Mom gave me cookies in my cookie container (gingerbread, obviously!)
cupofcookies.jpg
When we got the first 40 below zero day of Minnesota Winter, Mom gave me hot chocolate cocoa in in my thermal heat changing mug.
cupofcocoa.jpg
When I was stressed and studying for finals, Mom gave me bone broth in my Murky Mermaid Mug.
When I fell off the new training horse and dislocated my shoulder, Mom gave me Willow Bark Tea in “her” porcelain teacup with porcelain tea saucer.
When the cat died, it was macaroni and cheese in the over-sized soup cup.
When the dog died, it was chamomile tea in a beer bottle. (Don't ask!)
On the hottest days of summer it was Catnip Tea in an iced tankard.
When we had guests, it was Earl Grey Tea in a demitasse cup.
Yes, we had a plethora (and THAT is a LOT!) of cups, mugs, goblets tumblers, chalices, beakers, and decorated jam jars, as well as other assorted other cup-like containers.

What do you serve (or could you serve) in a cup? Beverages? Soup? Ramen? Pasta Meals?

Although I have (above) listed mostly food and drinks, ANYTHING can go into your cups and mugs. Plants can grow in mugs (although that may also be a bad example as most plants and herbs are edible. Stuffed kittens in cups were big for Mother's Day. Tiny Teddies with "motarboard" caps and parchment scrolls have been placed in cups as graduation gifts. I am curious what marketing will decide to put in Dad's Day Drams.....

I do have one sample of a snowman in a over-sized coffee cup above.
Not exactly edible, unless you like melted snow, which has its own VERY UNIQUE FLAVOR, depending on where the snow is collected.

* This is a 3 for 3 or a 6 for 6 card trade. Make 3 or 6 ATCs cards and receive the same number back.

* ALL mediums and techniques are welcome. Please make sure you add some depth to your cards, whatever style you choose. Your mediums can include, but are not limited to: paper, tissue paper, crayon, acrylic, watercolor, gel pens, colored pencil, rubber stamping, ink, newspaper clippings, magazine clippings, etc. Please do not take an image, cut it out, glue it to a card, and call it done. Color the background. Add some texture. Add more than one image. Make the ATC YOUR CREATION! Please send in your best work. Something you would not be disappointed in receiving if it was sent to you.

* Please sign up by posting to this thread.
* ONLY ATCs allowed. No APCs accepted.
* All cards need to be sent each in their own plastic sleeve.
* All cards need to be standard ATC size: 2.5” x 3.5”
* All cards need to be sturdy enough to earn the name “card” (no floppy or flimsy paper). If it is created on a single sheet of paper, please back your ATC with something stiffer, or more firm, such as a cereal box.

* Just as important, check for cards that are too thick. Each card must still be capable of fitting into the standard ATC sleeve. If your ATC will not fit into an ATC sleeve, it is too bulky.
* Please put the Swap name and your Username on the back of all cards. And please write clearly on everything!
.....I can't give you itrades and others can't give you Reputation points if we don't know who you are.
* Please confirm there is enough postage on both the envelope you send to me, and the envelope I need to send back to you.

* If you are unsure about mailing ATCs, or just may want to pick up some good tips for mailing your cards,
there is a great link in the Site FAQs.
HOW TO: Pack and Mail your ATCs for Swaps

* I apologize for being so demanding about the envelope size, but that affects total thickness, and the postal rates in the U.S. charge extra for thickness. When cards are stacked, or overlapped, in (a smaller) envelope, it almost always increases thickness, and thus costs more to mail. In addition, If you send me a small envy, the cards may get stacked. When I use the 4 inch by 9 1/2 inch business size envelopes, I can spread the cards over the area, making a THIN package, and only pay for basic (minimum) postage. This also allows the envelope to pass through the cancelling machine (which is a double roller mechanism that compresses the envelope while it reads the mailing address and checks weight) without stacking the ATCs. If the cards are loose, they can slide to one end, making a think bulge, often destroying the envelope and sometimes tearing out of the envelope entirely.

* If you are inside the U.S., please include a Self Addressed Stamped Business Size Envelope (Approximately 4 by 9 1/2 inches), with one "Forever" stamp or current First Class Postage if trading 3 cards; or one "Forever" and one additional ounce postage stamp if trading 6 cards, OR if your cards are extra heavy or extra bulky (or 2 forever stamps if that is easier).

* International participants, if you have U.S. funds, or U.S. postage, it is greatly appreciated. However, since many of you do not have access to U.S. stamps/money, I will cover your postage. Please include a self-addressed envelope 4 by 9 1/2 inches (10 x 28 cm), or if you do not have the correct size envelope, please include a large mailing label with your address and I will provide the envelope.

* Share pics if you can. Everyone enjoys seeing what others are creating.
If you do share, be sure to delete your pics before the swap is archived so that they won't count toward your gallery usage.

* Cards are due IN MY HANDS by August 13, 2026. Please allow sufficient lead time for cards to get to me, particularly if you are an international participant. Please try to mail your cards early!! Delivery times are taking much longer than we are used to. Unfortunately, I do not know why??

* Returns will be mailed promptly. Please leave Feedback for your HOST ONLY (me) when you receive your returns, and please take the time to leave Reputation points for your fellow players from whom you receive cards.

* A hostie card in this theme is appreciated but not at all expected!

* Thank you for considering this swap! If you have my address from previous swaps, it hasn't changed. If you are new, or have not been in one of my swaps for a while, please send a direct message to me for my address when you sign up or when you are ready to mail.

* Above all, Have fun!

im going to lurk around a bit, im a big fan of oversized, almost bowl like mugs that i can put almost any meal in, or drink of choice,

its like a sickness, every time my daughter and i go shopping together we grab mugs, cups, tumblers, etc...we literally do not have room for any more

Lurkers welcome, oddbreed.
Yes, almost-bowl-like mugs one can put almost any meal in, or drink of choice.
LOVE your description.

However, I do disagree with you, one ALWAYS HAS room for any more

I have my own mug collection, plus all the ones I inherited from Mom!
Hubby built me a mug shelving unit that turned into a "closet" of mug shelves.

Great fun!
And people always know what to get me for birthday, Christmas, graduation, anything!

Hope you comeback and join us.

Mom liked WEAK coffee.
She made a tin of coffee last almost a full year.
I always asked why she didn't just drink water, because this was just LIGHTLY colored water.
Never did get an answer.......

I like my coffee strong (no one else can tolerate it!), black (no cream, no sugar) and HOT! (the cup sits on its own, personal, electric, ALWAYS PLUGGED IN, warmer!!)

Here is my early morning (black cat) coffee cup:

you have a top tier husband! i do believe there's always room for more, our Home Goods store has the best selections all year round.

sign me up! i wanted to do a swap called "mug love" so this pretty much falls right in line with my thoughts

Not unlike mybrokenart, I have two large mugs. I have inadvertently downsized several times in recent years (long boring-tragic stories🤪) so they have many uses; though I keep the red one to coffee and richer tasting things and the green for tea and lighter fare (ADHD?).

Welcome MissP, oddbreed, mybrokenart, and Allegrae.
I signed you up.

Mybrokenart, I love the sound of your "happy everything" mug.
I will have to hunt for one! :0)

I have the whole set and I love them. Look at the size of the mug. Its the perfect size for any meal!

I'm an empty nester now so this is all I use. I coveted them when the kids were little because they are not replaceable. Unless I get lucky at a yard sale or thrift store. But I've never found one out in the wild.

These dishes have been the center of every holiday for 35yrs in my little world.
