Dooda, so you did the work in Excel? If so, that's pretty cool. So, I am an Excel abuser (according to my brother the PhD in computers). This is my entire spreadsheet which I have cut into 10 cards. If this is an acceptable medium, I would love to sign up.
Very cool. Thanks for the info. I think DonnaCR will see this sometime today and give you the info or you can message her. She's a great host.Yes, the graph is 1/16" squares. I have to work in 200% to be able to see it. I have done many such graphs. These are 2 I did for other swaps. So, is it acceptable for me to join the swap?
I am totally impressed with your collage work - cutting all of those tiny pieces. Yes, I also enjoyed exploring more of his work and really love some of his other works very much.
I enjoyed exploring more of Mondrians work, especially discovering his representational work - I always find it so cool when people who work in abstract styles can also knock a classic painting out of the park too. I did have some regrets part way through Boogie Woogie… soo many pieces!
Thank you - I relied very heavily in my punches to cut down on my cuttingI am totally impressed with your collage work - cutting all of those tiny pieces. Yes, I also enjoyed exploring more of his work and really love some of his other works very much.
Oh, that sounds very smart!Thank you - I relied very heavily in my punches to cut down on my cutting![]()
Swap Due Date - August 28 recommended postage date for non-Australians - July 31 I live in Australia - mail will NOT reach me quickly! I suggest you allow at least 4 weeks Number of Cards - 3:3 or 6:6 Number of participants - unlimited Medium - anything I have been fascinated by Piet Mondrian's style for years as I feel that it is something that even I can achieve. On a recent visit to the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) in Melbourne I managed to buy a set of playing cards featuring 52 of his designs so thought that this was a chance to see if I could inspire others to try his style. To quote the description included with the cards: 'The compositions of his mature period use only black, white and primary colours, based solely on the rectangle and square, the vertical and horizontal, representing the essential opposing forces: positive and negative, dynamic and static. . . and (in his view) masculine and feminine.' Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to use this description as the basis for your ATCs. Here are 4 examples from the set of cards showing his descriptions and style over the years. View attachment 830584 View attachment 830582 View attachment 830583 View attachment 830585 You can see here that he included green, grey and orange as primary colours so I will accept all colours as well.
