I have a question about the monochromatic group. Are we allowed to use some black and white, or should everything (highlighting, shadowing, outlining etc) be in that one color?

Now that I have a better idea of what APCs entail I'd like to select group 7 as my second. I've got a deck of cards ready to go. 
Since this is my first time I'll follow catladybj's format and ask for TWOS.

Thank everyone for clarifying- i understood the apc part (i think), it was the putting in the request part that I was most confused about. When I looked catladybj was pending and pancakemachine just had card numbers no subject - much clearer now!
I would like to join group 7 with dragon as my theme and
1. Jack of spades
2. Knight of spades edit: after accidentally sending pancakemachine on a bit of goose chase, let me officially clarify for exactness - I got a bit excited when writing this out and forgot what cards are called. I did mean jacks. Knight or Jack of spade would be an exact match to my request
3. Queen of spades
4. Me
5. King of spades
As my cards. (I think I did that right?) looking forward to trying! I have had a deck in my supply drawer for awhile!
My new questions are: is that basquiet-y enough? I honestly tried, working from references for style elements, but I could only get so chaotic without losing the message. And is it okay to use a patterned paper if all the subject is then hand drawn over it?

I read the guidelines/ rules and would love to Join Group 1 ATC– HD/HP – Regular/Easy Themes. The Theme I would like to pick is some kind of plant or flower with human characteristics.
