Today is my husband's birthday. Last year he had a little party. This year I treated his brother to lunch. The day went easier than expected. (He died in May, 2025)
Please sign me up!Swap Due Date - Friday Dec 5th
Signup/withdraw date -
Number of Cards - 3 for 3 or 6 for 6
Number of participants - unlimited
Medium: open but must have texture
Theme-open
For this swap, you can use paint, collage, rubber stamps etc. However, each card must have some sort of texture. When you touch your card, you have to feel something rough or soft, or bumpy. You can make representational art or abstract. Some items you might put on your card before paint or after paint is applied: flour, sugar, salt & pepper, baking powder, sand, wallpaper paste, shredded paper, sawdust, coffee grounds. I want to try uncooked coffee. If you are making paper art, you could make designs with white glue, sandpaper, corrugated cardboard, layers of a heavy paper. What else? You can add fabric pieces. Moleskin. Experiment! Please no metal or "jewels" or glitter.
Other Information- Your cards should be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. They should be wearing plastic or cellophane sleeves. If your cards are floppy back them with at least cardstock.
Mail them either with a holder or tape them together. Painters tape and washi tapes are good. Scotch tape is bad. It can destroy the sleeves.
Put at least your user name, location, date you made the card and swap name on the back of your cards. All cards should be different.
Mailing information - Everyone send a label or piece of paper with your mailing address. I will provide envelopes. If you send one, I will not use it.
US players send 1 or 2 forever stamps. I had to add another stamps to 2 envelopes in my most recent swap.
International players - I will provide postage. I have a whole page of global stamps.
Mail sooner rather than later.
