Bunny Shenanigans! Due April 21, 2026

Here are my cards: Skating; Nature Walk; gossip; Fishing. My technique was an interesting one. All the bunnies must be credited to Beatrix Potter, cut from copies of book illustrations. All the backgrounds were done by me in watercolors. The challenge was to pick bunnies in poses that would also work for what I wanted them to be doing. Added scarves and ice-skates to some.IMG_1753.jpeg

Interesting note: here, in Queensland Australia, bunnies are illegal to have as a pet. If you want to have some in a circus or magic act you need to get special permits.
Bunnies were introduced to Australia by the rich but, as they have no natural predators, they quickly became a plague - eating the food of our native animals and the sheep and cattle on which the colonies relied.
My cards are in the mail today

Omg illegal to have as a pet?!? I had no idea. Thanks for sharing that! Are they still really abundant in the wild or was something done to control the population?

Wow! your painted backgrounds are seamless with the bunnies. These are really beautiful CiCi!

Thanks for the compliment, Max! It’s so uplifting when a compliment is made on exactly what one was going for!
