Finish It Up Swap 11/ATCs/Open Theme/Due date: June 30th

Too funny. We were a regular hand-me-down family. In fact, there are even pictures to prove it. My older brother is wearing a striped 70's wide lapel shirt in his 1st grade photo. And then one year later, you guessed it...there's me in that very same shirt for my school picture.

My daughter used to get all my son’s hand-me down clothes, and she had short hair because we lived in Singapore when they were growing up and it was too hot for her to have long hair (she HATED having it brushed and put up, so she refused to grow it out). So everyone always thought she was a boy!

in the 50s and 60s - school dress code was dresses
in grammar school I wore shorts under my dress so that I could climb the jungle gym and hang from the monkey bars and other playground equipment
after school I wore "play clothes" and no shoes.
I often stubbed my big toe riding my bike without shoes.
nowadays the only climbing i do is climbing out of bed
my mother wore dresses - a "house dress" during the week for housework, etc.

My Finish It Up Swap 11 items arrived today!
#1 Mouse Fairy
#2 Bird Coaster
#3 Embellishment: Hand Made Book Mark (damaged, embellishment missing?, card is torn in one spot where what seems to be something was attached to the bookmark at the top)
Thank you so much! Can't wait to create with these!

Uh oh and the party bus are genius! They are all great💖

Here are mine: Two butterfly images (I made one into a flower); Word stickers were “mother” and “father”; Embellishment was a piece of wood grain paper, I painted hollyhocks against a fence; The poppy is my host card for Ferretgirl, made of napkins and hand-painting.IMG_1842.jpeg

These are all beautiful! I especially love the poppy on the napkin.
