Yep, I've hosted this swap 11 different times. Sometimes we get lots of participants and then sometimes not so many but it is always fun to see what people come up with. This swap is kind of like the Trash To Treasure Swaps.ferretgirl, I seem to remember another similar swap, back in 2024. By all means, please include me, even if the hubby chooses my stuff LOL
Thanks for sharing your process. My hubs (finally) knows better than to toss or recycle random things he finds around the house (jar lids in the sink, foreign language newsprint on the counter, ribbon saved from present unwrapping, etc.) because it's probably being saved for an "unknown art repurpose reason." It's great when the household accepts the artist's process. You guys know how your items get picked? I keep gallon bags of art stuff that I have worked on in the past or plan to work on in the future and sometimes they get quite full. I take those items out of the bags put them in my big ole sun hat and have hubby or myself reach in and grab something out of the hat. That is how you get your items. We do one item at a time so that we are not stuck there pulling out the same things all the time. It is kind of fun to see who gets what. Some people get easy things and some people not so easy but it works out as a pretty good system for me. So, if you get something hard or that you don't like, that means my husband picked it out!! Ha Ha Ha![]()
