I admire these and also have thoughts that they would make a very beautiful quilt. Thanks for the kind comments. I finished my Sacred Heart stampies. With an extra for our hostess:

you can use any erasure, even the softer ones work well, and you can find them at the dollar store, Amazon also has good deals on lino blocksI thought I might have some carving tools somewhere - my brother was an artist and had all sorts of tools that I inherited when he died - he used to carve stamps and other things, but I guess those tools got lost over time. So, I bought a little kit at Michael's last night. Now I need to find some pink erasers. Question - will any pink erasers do, or is there a particular type/brand?
Not at all. You can carve potatoes if you want, as long as the stamps are hand-carved, it doesn't matter.Hi,
Is it mandatory that we carve our stamps out of erasers?
I have several blank lino blocks and wonder if I may use that instead?
I'm lurking for the moment, but wanted to mention that Dollar Tree has "giant" erasers out now that are pretty much ATC sized. The one I'm working on right now has the Tootsie Pop owl on the front.you can use any erasure, even the softer ones work well, and you can find them at the dollar store, Amazon also has good deals on lino blocks

I luv your cat stamps Lu...purrrrsI will be mailing my cards tomorrow. I carved four different stamps. Here are the final two stamps, and some of the ATCs I have printed. Four of them are already traded via Facebook. But there are still plenty of choices for this swap!
THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN! Two of my grandchildren (aged ten and twelve) carved their own stamps on Sunday. It was great!
