Mid March PAT(unique groups) Due May 5th, 2026

@Amai today I learned some traditional decks in other countries dont have a queen but have a knight instead. This is interesting to learn about German and Spanish decks.

I dont have any packs with knight cards. Is it okay if I make my own then? And should it have an 11 in the corner or a spade or?
I'm not in the APC group, but we (at least in Sweden) call the jack "knight" (or "knekt" really but it's the same word). So it says "Kn" instead of "J", that's all. I think different countries translate the cards differently even though the rest of the design on the card is the same. (Swedish for example: Kn(ekt), D(am), K(ung), E(ss).)

@Amai no worries to that, and with a minor dive into playing cards in other countries and @MarySaintMary 's helpful description it was fun to learn. I will use a jack card since it is what I have but will think about this. If I throw in a horse and make him knight like would that be alright?

My first 2 for group 7. @catladybj and @trini70

Hi CC! I’m thrilled to have someone else interested in Group 6! But I’m not sure how to depict the “by the water” part on a house-shaped card. Ideas?

That might work better. Sorry, I guess I’m not creative enough to figure out where the water would go on a house-shaped card. Maybe we should ask our host what she thinks.

What about those resorts that are on stilts over the water? I looked at a cabin once that had one side in the lake - still think about it!

Don’t worry about it, Calluna, I found some great reference photos, and I think I know how to depict your seaside cottage now. No problem!

And here are my last 2.
Animals in clothes for @AmethystStar this is from the 1940s film Mr. Bug goes to town

The dragon is for @Amai i decided to play with the homophone and I included a little fun on the back of the card. Jack in the Box is a fast food restaurant mostly on the US west coast.

You mean Jacques dans le Boit, the famous French restaurant out here, isn't in the midwest or the east??

Traditionally it was really just west of the Mississippi. (I think there was an old chain called Roy Rogers like that too). I only ever ate at one when I lived in Hawaii. Looks like they've opened a couple in Cincinnati now, but also that they are closing stores. Always interesting to realize that Skyline Chili isn't nationwide, just a bunch of locations in the midwest

I would like to join group 1 with the theme of a large tall sailing ship.

I have read and understand the swap guidelines and rules.
