Here are my cards
The first one is inspired by the landscape where I live, the desert
The pictures I took are not the best, no matter the angle I would put them, they still would have some shine from the acrylics.
It was fun and challenging to paint them!

Wonderful job, The Walnut Tree! I love the first one, and that gorgeous sky in the second. I think I would have a hard time painting that boat, I’m still learning how to angle my knife, place the paint, and finish the stroke. You did great!
I agree, using a palette knife is very difficult on an ATC. That is why I used the palette knife to paint on long strips of paper and then cut this to ATC sized sections. See my post #10 in this thread.
Yes, I did think your strip idea would make things a little bigger, therefore easier to paint. I still plan to try that!
I'm glad you liked them! It was hard but fun! I used the smallest palette knife I have, it measures 1 inch, and for the tiny details I would use the tip.

I am going to bite the bullet and show an “in progress” card I just finished.
BACKGROUND - (Every paint combination I mix is also mixed with 1/3 part Gel Medium). Painted top to bottom with Rose & Lavender, and Pink & White. ( I start on a 3x4” card, then trim when finished)..

LOWER PETALS: Dioxozine Purple with a touch of White. The strokes I made were like half-circle swirls.
UPPER PETALS: Crimson with Baby Pink; highlights Baby Pink with White. Do I apply the paint top to bottom or bottom to top? I decided it was slightly easier top to bottom.

STAMENS: There is usually one long center stamen on a fuchsia flower, surrounded by several shorter ones. They are tipped in White and Crimson. Done with a toothpick.
LEAVES and STEMS: Hookers Green done with knife edge and knife blade (tip).
FINIS: I decided the stamens were too thick, and wanted to risk “fixing” it. I say risk because there is often an “overworked” appearance which is apparent. I mixed Rose and Baby Pink, and Lavender with White, and covered the stamens. Made new stamens using the edge of thin cardstock. I used Cadmium Red. Also stroked that color on some upper petal edges with the blade. The white frame shows where the card will be trimmed to 2 1/2 x 3 1/2” size.
