Welcome to the Postage Stamp People 2 Swap!

Responding to much enthusiastic encouragement, I am hosting another postage stamp people swap!
I love using postage stamps to make unusual-looking people! For this swap, the term “people” can be interpreted as broadly and imaginatively as you like. You can use animal stamps as heads on human bodies or human heads on animal bodies. You can make realistic or fantastic people. And if you do not have postage stamps with heads on them, you can use a postage stamp to accessorize your people.

Examples of Postage Stamp People I've made: https://www.atcsforall.com/forums/media/albums/postage-stamp-people.557/

Please put your people in some sort of setting or on some sort of background that enhances their look or gives them a context. You are welcome to create in any media you wish ~ mixed media, collage, hand-drawn or painted bodies and backgrounds are all fine. We should be able to see a bit of your stamps whatever media you choose.

Swap Requirements ~
* All cards should be standard 3.5” x 2.5”
* This swap is 3 for 3 only. An extra card for the host is welcome, but completely optional.
* Cards must be original. Send work into which you put time, imagination and care.
* Please use only small, light embellishments.
* Please protect your cards with plastic sleeves.

Mailing Information ~
* Include username, real name, your state/country and the swap name on the back of all cards - and put username and swap name on all envelopes sent.
* US Participants – Please include a clearly written SASE or an address label with postage
* International Participants - Please send a clearly-addressed envelope or mailing label and I will cover postage.

Please PM me for my address when you are ready to mail your cards. Please post in this thread when you are sending your cards out, that way I can keep track of the cards when they were mailed. Any late cards will be returned.

When you receive your returns, please leave I-Trader for your swap host and thank yous for the artists of the cards you receive. People like to know where their little artworks find home.

I sorted through some of my stamps yesterday
found some good ones
and now to match them up with improbable bodies
i am trying better organization for my cards
gather my supplies before i start thinking about composition
we'll see if that helps and i dont have to dig out some odd item in the middle of construction

Thanks for sending me creative inspiration
I have inherited a lot of old (mostly foreign) stamps that have interesting faces and other items.
The really old ones are in books and i dont want to use them, but am sorting through anything that is loose.
I think i want to sort them artistically - and that is by color.
although i have to admit i enjoy just pawing through unsorted stamps.
for now they are unsorted
