Rain! Due September 25, 2026

My cards are ready and will be mailed tomorrow. I drew the rain on plastic which I overlaid on each card. It gives it a slight shadow effect, which turned out cool, but sort of hard to photograph.

An extra card for you, pancake machine. (Your choice.) Thanks for hosting!

I love these! They look like coming out of comic book pages!

Hello, I didn't know where to post this question, so I post here:
Has anyone had any issues lately with USPS to mail the cards?
I sent one single card, is a watercolor ACEO that I sold on ebay. When I sell a pastel ACEO, since it requires more rigidity in the packaging, I usually charge shipping, the most affordable one is like more than $5 dollars now.
But when it comes to watercolor ACEO, I don't charge shipping, I just use a regular forever stamp.
Never had an issue, until today. A card that I had sent, came back from USPS with a yellow label that says "Additional postage when remailing" and next to it, they wrote: "Rigid, Firm, N-B" N-B means non machinable, meaning the machine cannot sort the mail so it has be done by hand and they charge extra for that.
It was a watercolor card, inside an individual paper envelope. I wonder if it was a USPS clerk thing, that just decided the envelope would no be able to go through the machine, or if it actually couldn't go through.
Never had an issue before, and I hope it's not going to start being an issue now with the cards we send here, that they will start to get extra picky now.

finished my cards, should get them sent in the next few days!
top left - 'Shallow Grave', inspired by a lyric from a recent song by my favorite band
top right - a sun shower in Russia is sometimes called 'Mushroom Rain', so the focus is the sun wearing a veil of rain and the mushrooms are all edible mushrooms found in Russia ^-^
bottom left - 'Thunder and Ocean Rain Sounds to Study To', just wanted to do something based off the coziness of working inside during actual rain or while listening to recordings of rain
bottom right - another name for a sun shower is 'The Fox is Getting Married' - in Japan, so the fox is wearing a traditional Japanese outfit.

I have often seen people post mailing logistics updates in the lounge. I send by Canada post, so I am not entirely sure, but my understanding is they usually hand off to USPS, and I have definitely had more problems recently with mail. I had one letter that usually would take 12-20 days to arrive to that address but took 49. I had two letters return ‘address not deliverable’ despite the fact that I use printed labels and had sent to one of the addresses many times, and both addresses were correct. When I talked to my post office, they said most likely it was one person on the other side having a bad day, and all I could so was remail then. So I repaid my postage, with the same mailing addresses, and a month later than they should have arrived, both letters got through.

@The Walnut Tree -- what @Amai said for where to post is correct - I'd take this to the Lounge and make it a separate post. There have been a number of posts about postage and mail service there and this can often be a struggle.

@sunnyvic - love how you took rain from many regions of the world. Fun idea!

@CatLady - unfortunately I can't sign up your daughter. If you look at the Site Terms of Service members must be 18 or older. There are some childrens trading lists. You could explore as well.
