My cats are the absolute monarchs of my home, and I am their humble subject, happy to serve… I’m sure my fellow pet owners can relate, our furry family members get the royal treatment. 👑

For this swap we are going to create a royal court of pets! Using whatever media you choose you will create three ATC size portraits of your pets as kings, queens, knights, nobility, or jesters. More than just adding their head to a fancy set of shoulders, make sure to give your card a little depth! I look forward to seeing lots of cats and dogs, but don’t worry, all pets are welcome in this royal court!

This is my first swap so space is limited!

  • Make sure your cards are made out of sturdy material and are 2.5" x 3.5". Try not to make them too bulky so they will transit well.

  • Sign up by posting to this thread, if you don’t make it in I’ll have a waiting list if someone has to drop out.

  • Please include your username, the swap name, your location, and the date on the back of each card.

  • Each card should be sent in an individual clear protective sleeve.

  • A hostess card is not necessary, but if you decide to send me one, it will absolutely be treasured.

  • If you need to withdraw, please communicate so someone on the waiting list can get in.

  • When you are ready to mail your cards: send me a PM for my address.

  • Please include a large address label or a piece of paper with your address, and a forever stamp. I will provide the return envelope this time. International participants: I will cover your return postage.

  • Pack your cards carefully, securing them with washi tape and some thin cardboard will help your cards arrive in good condition!

  • DUE DATE: February 26th, 2026 is the last day I will accept cards. I will swap that night and mail the returns the next day.

  • Post in the thread when you’re sending your cards and I’ll post in the thread when they arrive! I'll give Feedback on the swap day.

  • When you receive your returns, don't forget to give Feedback points to your host and Reputation comments to your fellow artists!

I will probably do one cat. Since getting to “know” them, they fascinate and impress me. But the other 3 will be doggos. I think I was born and bred to love dogs.
 
My daughter (17) showed up with three kittens a couple of months ago. They are our first pets after our Pineapple, the hamster. We were not sure since my youngest is allergic, but they are now our cats. We have a queen and two princesses. I am ready for the royal court!
