The Snowy Swap! Open Media, Date Due: February 2, 2024

I bought some blank ATCs and they came in the mail today. That means I can start on my cards tonight, finally! I decided what I wanted to do as soon as I signed up for the swap, so I’m looking forward to getting my ideas down on paper, or card, rather. Yay!! 😁

JustJayne, my mom was a Texan, born and raised. She went to college at Southwestern, outside of Austin, and she talked a lot of the snowfall they had there one year. I have a photo somewhere of her building a little snowman outside of her sorority house. And now that I think of it, I was visiting my dad in Austin one Christmas when there was an ice storm. I'd never been in one but, beyond it being cold and slippery out, it sure was beautiful!
It doesn't happen very often, and when it does, it causes havoc and brings the state to a screeching halt and we all bandy words around like "snow-pocalypse" and "snow-maggedon" when we get an inch or two of snow. LOL.

As someone who grew up in Northeast Ohio, that just made me laugh. One or two inches! Ha! 😉 Although it wasn't as bad as it could have been. When I was out shoveling snow I was just grateful not to live up north by Lake Erie. With the lake effect snow, it's even worse there.

Mine are ready to go out in tomorrow's mail. All but the gnome are from photos I took. Oh, how I wish we were predicted to get some snow soon! Just that little dusting a week ago was it for now.
