By the way, this is what I’m using for the foil and it works great. I have to use two pieces, but when it gets embossed you can’t even tell where the line is.

I’m still playing around with these and I haven’t decided which four to submit I need to get some brighter colors but I’m tapped out now so this is gonna be what I’m using. I did have a question though. Are we allowed to add other medians to the alcohol ink like for instance, paint markers.

Just one question. What did you use to adhere the foil to your backing paper?
trini70 - in post #2 I described how I made those cards and said that I used 4" wide double-sided tape. In a couple of the videos I linked they tried wet glue and thinner double-sided tape and discussed the good and bad sides of these. Basically, if you have a complicated enough embossing folder any lines or spaces left from what you have used to adhere the foil will disappear into the embossed design.
Haagmm and MACE - I would rather you stuck to alcohol inks or markers rather than adding other medias. Remember you are only making backgrounds, NOT finished cards so have fun!
MACE - so glad that you enjoyed the experiment and I am glad that you used the foil tape (I couldn't find any in my local hardware store). I will tell you when your cards arrived.
welcome also to An. M. Sudyka and Kniteach - have fun!
Sunny - I love your cards - the colours are so vibrant! How did you do that?

welcome to all the lurkers - enjoy playing with the kitchen foil and any alcohol inks that you have. I hope you join us soon

Thank you, I‘m happy that you like them 🥰 I‘m not sure if I have done something special, here and there a little sparkle maybe? Or just the light when I took the photo 💡☺️

I didn't use anything other than the alcohol inks. Some of it I used a qtip like one of the examples showed and painted it on, but it was still the alcohol ink

I've now tried a dozen times using my Ranger Alcohol Ink on aluminum foil. It doesn't work for me. 😔 The alcohol corrodes the foil, and the colors are barely visible. I don't want cards like that, so I won't be sending them to others. I don't want to buy new supplies. That's why I'm dropping out of this swap.
I'm really sorry—but I'll be back for one of the next ones. 👋🏻

These are the cards I will send to Australia tomorrow…📮 ✈️
As I didn’t have any alc inks and bought everything via amazon, I have now colors from three different labels: Marabu (great), Octopus (very great), and wrong ones from a German label, as I didn’t know that there is a difference between coloring paper etc and resin… Here for example the blue just disappeared on the foil 😂
Well, very experimental task, and I liked it very much! Thanks a lot for this swap, Donna!
