Those are great, Leyda. I especially like how you honored their interests and characteristics in the art, too.

My avatar is from such a swap in 2007 using old photos of me and my hubby as children. You can use old family photos or “found family” photos. But please make it an actual photo image. (Think old family photograph albums or year book photos) This is intended to be humans only - no animals.

Swap is open media other than using at least the head(and maybe shoulders) of a person from an old photo and then drawing / painting / collaging the body and background. Please see the samples for what we want to see in your cards.
CLARIFICATION: NO Magazine people or bodies! Please see examples for what is acceptable.

Please no stickers. No digital. No heavy or thick embellishments. Note that if an envelope arrives with postage due, it will be returned to sender unopened.

REQUIREMENTS - Please read! Failure to comply will result in cards being returned.

This is an Open media swap with exceptions - you must include a old photograph image of a human head and maybe shoulders on each card. It can be a photocopy. NO Magazine bodies, collage create or draw the body please! And note we are looking for altered people not animals.
Please no stickers and no digital. NO HEAVY or thick embellishments - it adds to postage costs. If an envelope arrives with postage due, it will be returned to sender unopened.

Basic Rules
* All cards must be standard 3.5” x 2.5” and must be sturdy enough to earn the name "card".
* Each card must be different. Cards may be similar but each must be unique to itself.
* Send in work you would be happy to receive, created with thought and care.
* Send your cards in individual protective sleeves.
* Keep embellishments to a minimum. Thinner cards are desired. If you have thick cards, send extra postage for each card.

MAILING - please read!
* On Back of Cards - include swap name; username; your real name and location.
* Please mail early. Our USPS mail has been a bit wonky and can take a week or three longer than usual.
* PLEASE SECURE YOUR CARDS! If they are loose, they bunch up and become too thick for standard postage and arrive torn amd/or with postage due. I’ve had several recently. If an envelope arrives with postage due, it will be returned to sender unopened.

US Participants:
Include a Self Addressed Business sized envelope OR a clearly written label with a Forever Stamp (currently .73 cents). Please include your user name and name of swap on your envelope.
International Participants:
Please send your address on a clearly written label that includes your username. I will provide the envelope and the postage. And please mail early! 3 - 4 weeks is recommended.

Please contact me for my address when you are ready to mail your cards. I’m still at Brownsville Place.

Posting in the thread when your cards are mailed helps me keep track. And please consider posting your lovely completed art to the thread for everyone to see!

When you receive your returns, please leave Feedback (formerly iTrader) for your swap host (me).
It's also polite to let folks know where their art now lives! That can be done by posting a thank you in the thread, or giving a reputation comment, or posting on their profile or sending a conversation / private message.
Note that I include links to each swap participant in the first post to make it easy to leave a reputation comment.
