Moai Statues
Easter Island





The Moai are giant stone statues
on Easter Island that represent
deified ancestors,
stand mostly on stone platforms
called ahu,
They were carved by the
Rapa Nui people
between 1250 and 1500.

History and Meaning
Carving: Made mostly
from soft volcanic ash
at the Rano Raraku quarry.

Purpose: Built to honor
important chiefs and ancestors,
watching over the island.

Design: Most statues face
inland with large heads and
hidden bodies underground

I was thinking "bigger" like Moai statues, Egyptian Pyramids, Aztec Temples, but your thoughts are valid.

The first two cards seem "weak" A dessert can be browns or golds, or sand dunes, or cacti, but black and white hills seems to need more thought put into it.
The circus one also seems unfinished, try adding clowns people, animals, rides???????

The second two I woud accept.

They are all the same cards. There are only 2 cards pictured. The “weak” side is supposed to look unfinished. It’s just the question - you open it up and then the answer with the finished colorful picture is inside if that makes sense. For the desert, it’s a “shocker” that the largest desert is in Antarctica so it’s different than what one pictures in their mind as a desert. And the first modern circus was in the late 1700s, hence the old arena without the “flashiness” that we were used to in our youth.

I think I need to just bow out of this one. Feeling uninspired. I really wanted to come up with some unique places like I did for the WHEN cards, but just am not coming up with any.
