Exploration of Acrylic Inks : Due July 2nd

I have black, dark brown, bronze and gold as my acrylic ink supply. I used the dark brown, which looked black, and the bronze because I couldn’t get the gold open. I wet my cards, and added ink from the dropper, and then used blowers and draggers, and smushed two cards toghether.

Which got me this

Then I took my dip pen, and pulled out the images I saw in the shapes.

All in all, an exploration in acrylic.

Will add you MACE.

Also I want people to know that submitting abstract art is splendid. This is mostly what I do.
Oh good because that’s what most of mine are turning out to end up to look I like abstract but with everybody doing pictures, I was going to attempt to do something like that, but if abstract are fine, I will stick with the abstract theme

I like how yours are ending up to be abstract and then the drawing within the abstract that’s really cool looking

I have yet to remember how to get rid of italics. I usually use water color paper but also have used yupo. I have added alcohol inks, on both of these surfaces. Someimes I use a brush and sometimes just the dropper. Sometimes with wet paper and sometimes I spray water over the inks. I like the little tiny lines you get when blowing through a straw. You can use the inks with the right rubber stamp to makeimages on clear acetate. Regular rubber stamps don't work, though I did find one that does. I have foam stamps and they worked really well. I have 2 kinds of inks. I like the Liquitex ones best. I will cut up favorite ink art into ATC sized for this swap and maybe just for background.

And CallunaCreative, your cards arrived. I love the tiny envelope the postage came in and thanks for the extra card.

Liquitex has several sets of acrylic inks. I have been using the basic color set and a set of different blues with one green one. And coming eventually will be the set of muted colors.

Just go here right next to the B on the top of your post.

These are not for the swap. I have other ones that are kind of similar that I might use instead, but I made nine of these cards tonight and here’s four of them. I’m actually gonna use these in the buddy trade thread. But just showing you some of the experimentation I’ve been doing

So for this one, I took an acrylic cardstock 9 x 12 and I put liquid acrylic all over it just drops everywhere different colors. I’ll let it dry for about maybe 30 seconds. Then I took a paper towel and I wiped it all off corner to corner filled the whole thing and then I dropped some yellow, and I actually made one of them with a streak of yellow and then I dropped some magenta and this was the end result after I got home and they were dry after cutting them into 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 ATC size.

PS if you try this method wear gloves, which is what I did. It can get very, very messy fast.
