ATC Novice
Swap Due Date -11 December 2026
Signup/withdraw date -Anytime, but please communicate
Number of Cards - 3 for 3
Number of participants - 20
Medium: All mediums welcomed
This swap idea has stemmed from my new obsession with RPGs (role playing games), and I want to see how we could add some sort of dice mechanics to creating art.
How do we play? You will need a 6 sided dice (d6) or some way of randomly selecting numbers 1-6 (e.g. you could write #s on scraps of paper and pull them out of a hat or ask a friend or family member to randomly pick a #). Whatever you have at hand will work!
You are being asked to create 3 ATCs and will roll the d6 (or your randomization method) for each of the categories listed below. Each of the categories below will add a constraint to your ATC and determine one aspect of how you will create your card. You will roll separately for each of your ATCs; therefore, each ATC will have different requirements.
If you are ready to see what fate has in store for your cards...just roll with it!!
Color Palette
1-black, white, accent color

*note: each of these are open to your interpretation, for example if you roll a 2 for technique you may interpret that you have to hd/hp the entire card OR you may interpret it that you just need to include at least 1 element on the card that is hd/hp...up to you!
How to participate:
• Please sign up by posting to this thread. If there is more interest than the participant limit of 20, I will start a waiting list in the event someone needs to withdraw. If you need to withdraw, please just let me know.
• Make sure your cards are the standard ATC 2.5 x 3.5 size, made out of sturdy material and fit into a clear protective sleeve
• Include your Username, swap name, your location, and the date on the back of each card. If you have room on the back, write what your rolls were.
• A hostess card is not required, but very appreciated!!!
• At any point after you sign up and see your name in the "Who wants to play" list, send me a PM for my address.
• When you receive your cards for the swap, remember to leave Feedback for the Host (me) and Reputation Points for the people you received cards from!
Mailing
• Please include your real name and address in some format, whether it is a label, slip of paper or a self-addressed envelope...whichever is logistically feasible for you (if you are sending an envelope, please make sure it is one of the longer rectangle ones)
• USA participants: please include enough postage to cover your returns. // International participants: I will cover your return postage. (I will use the stamp(s) that you send me on your own return envelope, as I know many of us like to collect the cancelled stamps and have bought specific stamps for that!!)
• Secure your cards. Spread cards evenly to fit within your mailing envelope and secure to each other with Washi tape or Painters tape.
• Please note: I am west coast USA and be aware of what your mail by date would be to get the cards here on time. Please try to mail your cards early!!
