Yesterday I arrived home from celebrating my sister's birthday in Melbourne to cards from: aginghippychic and CallunaCreative. Today cards arrived from: VickiZ (both envelopes), Squirrelfriend and EmsArt

Don't forget - my suggested mail date for anyone not living in Australia is June 20, so plan to get your cards in the mail no later than early next week

That is FASTER transit than stuff I mailed the same day to places within the U.S. that have NOT arrived.......

Well since I mailed cards today, I should ask to sign up, huh?!
I had an unpleasant experience this weekend. It was dusk. I went outside to pick up some cat food dishes, that still had food in them. They were also covered with black fire ants, which I didn't see because it was in a dark area. OMG!!! Instant fire burning stinging itching awful. Awful. Awful! I ran and stuck my hands in the cats bowl of water. It has been driving me crazy ever since. They're finally starting to feel a little better today. And don't you know my right hand was the one with the most bites. I do not recommend picking up something with fire ants on it!!! Nasty little creatures!
This is going to be a fabulous swap!!!

Try adding some warm water to some baking soda, making a THICK paste, and apply it to your itch.
Works GREAT for bites, stinging nettle scratches, other general itching
 
mrubyjean - I agree with VickiZ, great cards, I will tell you when they arrive
welcome catladybj - I will tell you when your cards arrive. I can imagine the pain from those bites - our local area has been treated twice to eradicate nests and our grandkids' school oval was shut for weeks as they fought to eradicate them

talking to our postman today I discovered why I get my mail in bunches - Australia Post has moved to deliveries every 2nd day (Mon-Fri only). In today's bunch I received gorgeous, purring cats from: janae, Antjen,maami and LuK
 
Can’t believe I found my cats and it was too late to mail them. I’m so mad lol I showed them to Donna. She liked them, but alas, they didn’t make it to Australia.

They are purring all day which is lovely.
catladybj - that is why I always recommend mailing 4 weeks in advance. Cards can arrive early but, when you count on it, the Post offices let you down. Having mailed on June 22 there is still plenty of time for your cards to arrive.

I have my 2 sisters visiting from Thursday to Sunday so I may not be on site too often during that time. We normally live 2 states away and 1 sister is in the middle of breast cancer treatment (caught early so nowhere near as severe as my initial treatments but still tiring). Lots of chats, nibbles and game play will ensue (my poor husband ;))
 
catladybj - your 6 beautiful cards arrived today.
skullyrayne has not been seen on this site since May so I will swap the cards I have in the next couple of days. Thanks to all for mailing on time - you will LOVE your returns
