Punched! - Due June 12th

Another option would be to use 3 cards. You punch your holes in the top 2 layers. But you do have to be able to see part of your 2nd layer.
 
I made one like that when I was supposed to be doing a different arty thing. Sometimes the distraction from grief is great. Sometimes you can get a lot done and other times nothing gets finished.
 
Next month will end my first year without my husband. Or another way of seeing it, a year of doing a lot of new things for the first time. And much of this time is blurry.

Grief will ebb and flow, sometimes it's more "there"; other times it's quiet and just laps at the edges of your mind and heart. I like what you said about doing a lot of new thing for the first time. It's positive and light bringing. Blessings.
 
Sometimes I can be flexible. This might be one of those times. I think the most important partof this swap challenge is having holes from whick you can see interesting thigs. If you re read the swap directions, I removed the abstract part. Probably because I love your cards. And it opens the door to so many other ways to do this swap.
 
I have some sort of humor. And the person with whom I shared puns and word play is not alive. A star punch would be perfect for that card.

Thanks, Nancy. I’ll probably do a variety. After I asked the questions I started doing totally abstract ones and l started to like those better lol. I think the alien stars one will still make the cut too, but the bird only if I can make it more exciting. It’s fun making lots of holes and seeing what ends up peaking through. I think the bottom one is my favorite of my first attempts IMG_7970.jpeg

I agree that the bottom card lacks interest for this prompt. I can remove the image if it’s more confusing than helpful.

That's an optical illusion - I can see it both ways now after you and Nancy discussed. Now that the abstract requirement has been removed I'm excited to see what comes up.
